My friend and I dropped in for a late dinner at Spring Rolls this weekend. We were starving after a 2 hour long visit to the Ripley’s Aquarium downtown. We could’ve eaten around the area, but were craving some Asian noodles, so we decided to take the short trip up to the Spring Rolls near Dundas station.

Auberge du Pommier

I finally had a chance to visit the French restaurant, Auberge du Pommier, for Winterlicious (Jan 29 – Feb 11) this year.
I’ve seen Auberge on several ‘Best Restaurants for Winterlicious’-type lists so when my high school friends wanted to meet up in February this year, I thought, ‘Let’s do it!’
We had to push the meeting back a week to meet here because the reservations had filled up very quickly! Luckily we were able to get a spot for an early lunch (11:30 a.m.) on a weekend.

The Drake Hotel

There’s nothing like a stroll downtown to work up an appetite.
I chanced upon this place with my friends after an unplanned hour-long walk along Queen street. We just couldn’t decide on a place to eat. We stopped when we concluded we couldn’t walk any more, and luckily The Drake Hotel was right beside us.
